HackerOS (Cybersecurity Edition) has no official, structured tool listing we can auto-sync (unlike Kali, BlackArch, REMnux, and Tails). The tools below are maintained by hand and may be incomplete or outdated — check the official docs for the current tool set.

HackerOS is a Polish Debian-based distro whose Cybersecurity Edition is aimed specifically at red-team work, distinguishing it from the project’s other (gaming, NVIDIA-optimized) editions that aren’t security-focused and aren’t covered by this entry.

Use it only against systems/networks you own or are explicitly authorized to test — see the disclaimer.

Getting started

HackerOS publishes several editions (Official, Gaming, NVIDIA, and more) from the same Debian testing/stable base — only the Cybersecurity Edition is in scope here. It adds a custom "HackerOS Kernel" tuned for cybersecurity work, a Xen hypervisor for isolation, and a proprietary "Cybersecurity Mode" desktop environment layered on top of the base distro. Install/download instructions are on the official documentation and download pages linked above.
